My internship at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, Mumbai had been extremely rewarding and enriching. Interning at the hospital enabled me to enhance my knowledge in the field of practical learning and achieve professional excellence as a dietitian. I am extremely grateful to the college and Principal, Prof. Deepali Singhee for giving me the opportunity to intern with one of the most prestigious hospitals in the country.
I would like to say that my period of internship at the HHI as one of the most exciting periods of my student life as well as the most educative. It was indeed very exciting to see the theoretical knowledge being translated to practice. As the saying goes, "The proof of the pudding is in the eating"; so it was for me at the HHI.
My internship at Switz foods Pvt. Ltd. was one of the most exciting and fruitful experiences. I learnt about the food and the safety protocols followed by the company. I am extremely grateful to my alma mater, J. D. Birla Institute, for providing me with this marvelous opportunity.
It was one of the best opportunities of my life. The internship helped me to understand how the knowledge acquired in college can be applied in real life scenarios. I would like to thank our principal Prof. DeepaliSinghee and my teachers for bringing out the best opportunities for us which shapes our future career.
Being a student of JDBI has not only developed my nutritional knowledge but also built my core interest in the culinary industry. I started my career from scratch as trainee from Taj Bengal, and moved on further in my career working with best Hotels like Four Seasons. Abu Dhabi, Mandarin Oriental, Dubai, Hotel Paramount, Dubai. JDBI has actually helped me to pursue my dreams and achieve my dream job.
Children who are severely wasted are 9 times more likely to die than well-nourished children. We are fighting daily to identify those children and to provide them therapeutic management so that they can have a better future. JDBI have had a big impact for preparing me to pursue the field of community nutrition.
I was always keen to study about Nutrition and Dietetics and while listing down the colleges, the first name in the search bar was J.D. Birla Institute. Furthermore, the curriculum of the college was the perfect fit to help me pursue my passion. As a dietitian, one needs to handle and counsel the patients with empathy and confidence and the Personality Development classes held in college helped me to achieve that.
As a lead wellness coach at Twin Health, the focus has always been on reversing diabetes with nutrition alone. The grooming received from JDBI has been a building block in my career.
"Education breeds confidence, confidence breeds hope, hope breeds peace." Starting from the guidance during the seminars to the practical classes, the campus, tour visits and excursions, all added as a bonus in the learning process. I would always be thankful and grateful to JDBI and the best teachers for being the guiding light as it plays a very important contribution for what I am today.
My internship at Aquarelle India Pvt. Ltd gave me a peek into the environment I wish to work in someday. I worked on a project with the team where I got hands-on experience of how things work in the textile industry.
I was engaged in the Sampling & Designing Department of Ritika Pvt. Ltd. Other responsibilities include making of swatch boards, designing mood boards & story-boards and checking with the karigars.
I interned as a Visual merchandiser at Central with the major task of working with the window and store's display and also to ensure that the floor was managed according to the stores VM guidelines.
My internship at Rajlakshmi was in the sampling department wherein I was entrusted the job of sample development. Other additional responsibilities included preparation of BOM & swatch board.
I interned at Fablndia and had to look after the visual merchandising of the store along with handling the customers and their complaints. I was also given the responsibility of increasing sales of newly launched products in store.
My responsibilities were in the research and development of the women's western-wear. Curating designs from idea conception to final sample and styling, handling market research to identify new trends, and seeking design inspiration. Also supervising pattern and stitching department
AVR Leather Ventures is a leather goods export house and my job is to be in contact with the buyers and find out their needs. Other responsibilities include keeping an update on the trends, taking out material requisition for individual orders and costing of the bags, wallets and manicure set.
I am associated with the foundation of the brand, responsible for stock allocation and assortment, bulk ordering and inventory management. Undertaking marketing for the website and social media planning. Monitoring production process and conducting industry landscaping to identify potential collaborations possibility, in order to improve visibility and positioning of the brand.
My profile includes development of collection for the Texworld Paris (trade) along with the development of sample and handling production. I also manage their social media sites and help in building relationships with the clients.
My role here at Tracxn is a b2b inside sales role. Reaching out to prospective clients using cold but highly personalized emails. Customizing the sales pitch according to the prospect profile. Setting up demos with interested prospects and help in converting prospects into paid customers. Also in maintaining healthy sales for prospective clients and reaching out to them.
My profile includes looking after production and managing all the orders and deliver client pieces with their customizations. I also work in the design team for sampling and production of first pieces for shoot and yearly collection launch.
As a domestic merchandiser, I am responsible for handling the clients order, supervise production and ensure quality of the production and timely deliver in co-ordination with logistics department.

I was very fortunate to intern with this firm. Learnt a lot about the importance of detailing in drawings for precision at the site. Understanding the client's needs and preferences while designing bringing in elegance and sophistication. Site visits taught us how to find solutions to the problems.
I interned at Aarteg, Kolkata which takes up projects as consultancy and turnkey. I got to learn so many new basics of how to proceed in designing a space, whether it was 2D or 3D. Communicating with the clients from designing to its execution, developing design plans, blueprints, keeping space in mind and utilizing it to its fullest.
During internship learnt about interior space analysis and economical application of materials. Site visits and budget calculation was also part of my learning process. A very valuable experience.
It was an incredible opportunity to inter with the firm. I learnt new commands and shortcuts to AutoCAD for faster work. Drawings with minute detailing for precision and better understanding. Exposure to tackle site work and provide best solutions. Made presentations for clients.
